MEEKER, Colo. -- Smoke from a wildfire burning in the Flat Top Wilderness area just north of Glenwood Springs was visible from at least three different counties.

Garfield, Rio Blanco and Eagle County residents have been advised that they could potentially smell or experience the smoke over the next few days as the Lost Solar Fire continues to burn.

“As you can probably see out your window, smoke from the Lost Solar Fire has made its way to Eagle County,” said Aaron Mayville, Eagle-Holy Cross District Ranger. “While burning activity has picked up, the fire is still burning in the Flat Tops Wilderness. Feel free to give our Minturn office a call if you have questions – we’re happy to provide updates to the public.”Mayville, Eagle-Holy Cross District Ranger. “While burning activity has picked up, the fire is still burning in the Flat Tops Wilderness.
