DENVER -- A brush fire burned north of Denver International Airport Sunday afternoon.
The fire burned more than 300 acres in the area of Picadilly Road and East 144th Avenue. Crews were working late Sunday to protect one structure.

Crews continued to work on hotspots but the fire was contained at 3:56 p.m., according to a Natalie Ridderbos, the Brighton Fire Department spokeswoman.
Two unused sheds burned in the fire.
