4 wildfires burning in Colorado 7/18 including Hayden Pass Fire, Beaver Creek Fire, Red Table Fire

There are still several wildfires burning in Colorado.

However, there was good news on Monday.

-- Red Table Fire --

The lake area at Sylvan Lake State Park in Eagle reopened Monday.

The lake area was closed to boating, fishing and hiking last Wednesday after the Red Table Fire ignited.

"Great news! We're back open for business," officials wrote on Facebook.

The fire was 100 percent contained on Saturday. The fire burned about 20 acres.

-- Hayden Pass Fire --

The Hayden Pass Fire burning near Coaldale, 20 miles from Salida, is now 30 percent contained. The fire, which started July 8, has burned 16,414 acres.

There are still mandatory evacuations in place. However, evacuees on Fox Creek Dr., County Road 40, Mosher Creek, County Road 1A and the Eagle Peak subdivision will be allowed to return home Tuesday at 9 a.m., according to Fremont County sheriff Jim Beicher.

Evacuees must register before returning home. Registration is being handled at Cotopaxi High School.

There are 908 fire personnel assign to the fire. Hot shot crews, engine crews and dozer crews are primarily focused on an area between Baumann Reservoir and Rainbow Lake. There are seven helicopters fighting the fire from above.

-- Beaver Creek Fire --

The Beaver Creek Fire continues to burn north of Walden, Colorado and into Wyoming.

The fire, which started June 19, has burned 24,798 acres. It is five percent contained.

There are 287 firefighters including 25 engines, one dozer and two helicopters fighting and monitoring this fire.

Saturday, the fire traveled into the area of the Republic River where the Hill Ranch has a structure.

"Firefighters have done preparatory work anticipating that the fire may reach this building." the Forest Service said. "Water supply, pumps and sprinklers are in place."

The fire is also burning on the east side of 35 Road toward the Trophy Mountain Ranch.

“We continue to look for opportunities to engage the fire in a strategic and safe manner,” said Incident Commander Chuck Russell. “It is our goal to be able to provide safely protect the structures in the area, while keeping the safety of our firefighters safe is our number one priority.”

-- Blair Fire --

The Blair Fire has burned 1,140 acres near Meeker.

The fire is 70 percent contained.

The fire was first reported June 29. It's believed it was started by lightning.

The Forest Service said firefighters are working to keep the fire from burning to the north and east, where there is oil and gas infrastructure and a powerline corridor.
