Three others were shot, in addition to the PGPD officer, according to sources close to a WJLA reporter. The circumstances involving the shooting are unclear at this time, but it does not appear the incident was an attack on police, WJLA said.
Police posted a message on Twitter asking residents to avoid the area and to stay inside.
