One suspect is in custody after causing a "security concern" on board a Denver-bound flight coming from Alaska early Saturday morning, according to an official with the Royal Canadian Mounted Police.

United Airlines flight 1104 took off from Anchorage, Alaska at 11:55 p.m. local time, and was en route to Denver when "the crew elected to divert the flight to Vancouver due to a security concern," according to United Airlines spokesman Charles Hobart.
The suspect, described as a Caucasian male around 70 years old, appeared to be acting erratically during the flight, according to a witness Denver7 spoke with.
The witness said the suspect was laughing a lot over nothing, and tried several times to pull out the monitor in front of him.
After the planed made a safe landing, Royal Canadian Mounted Police officers went inside the plane and peacefully escorted the suspect out, the witness said.
"We can confirm this appears to be an isolated incident in which security protocols were enacted and the criminal code investigations remains active and ongoing", says Royal Canadian Mounted Police Cpl. Dennis Hwang.
The Boeing 737 had 131 passengers and six crews on board. Hobart said they are cooperating with authorities and "will work to rebook our customers on alternate flights."
The flight was scheduled to arrive to Denver International Airport at 5:37 p.m., according to FlightAware.com, but the witness said flight officials didn't know for sure when the next plane would take off.
