What happens when an elk finds a wine bottle?

Lori Viña-Guelich, of Evergreen, shows us in a series of pictures she posted on Facebook.

Lori said the elk took the bottle from her neighbor's recycling bin and started nosing it around and playing with it.

She said she saw him pick it up and immediately drop it, but then he did it again.

Somehow the elk knew to grab the open end.

And there's the picture! The elk taking a holiday drink.

"After a taste, he sent the bottle back to the wine steward and said the temperature of the red wine was too cold,” Lori posted on Facebook.

Lori said she wondered what the elk was drinking so she had to take a picture of the bottle.

"It looks a nice cab," Lori said.

Lori said the wine was an ‘08 Cabernet.
