HARPUSVILLE, NY -- Thousands of people are part of the world's biggest waiting room as "April" the giraffe could give birth to her calf any minute now.
April, a 15-year-old giraffe, will be giving birth to her fourth calf at Animal Adventure Park in Harpusville, NY.
Her calf will weigh around 150 pounds and be about 6-feet tall at birth, according to Animal Adventure Park officials.
On Sunday morning, zoo officials posted the following update:
"April is alert and attentive to her keepers, she shows no signs of discomfort. You will notice on our live feed, a lot of positioning in her hips, belly movements, and stutter stepping. This could be attributed to significant movement of the calf inside...baby is big!"
Zoo officials also warned everyone watching that there's YouTube accounts out there asking for donations on behalf of the zoo. This is not the case. They added some people have also created GoFundMe accounts "requesting your support and also baby names."
Do not fall for any of it, zoo officials said.
