Authorities are reviewing evidence and looking for new leads in the seven-year-old case of a woman whose dismembered body was found in an apple orchard near Glenwood Springs.

Janine Ann Johler was from Aurora. She was reported missing in May 2009. Her remains were discovered the following month off Interstate 70 near the Canyon Creek interchange, five miles from Glenwood Springs.

The Daily Sentinel reports that the sheriff's office has issued a public appeal for information regarding Janine's murder.

According to investigators in 2009, Janine had long complained of domestic violence.

Sheriff's office spokesman Walt Stowe says sheriff investigator Megan Alstatt is going back over the case.

"While speaking recently to her mother and sister, neither ever thought it would take this long to find Janine’s killer," investigators said.

If you have information or know someone who might have information to help solve this case, please contact Investigator Alstatt at malstatt@garcosheriff.com or call (970) 665-0222.
