A 67-year-old cyclist died of an apparent medical condition at the Ute Canyon overlook in western Colorado.
The Daily Sentinelreports the Denver man was spotted Saturday on Colorado National Monument. He has not yet been identified.
National Park Service spokeswoman Arlene Jackson says it's believed the man was riding alone in the Tour of the Moon event before he lost consciousness.
Jackson said a bystander and off-duty paramedic tried to revive the cyclist.
The Mesa County Coroner's Office is investigating the exact cause of death.
