An alternative school in southern Colorado will be closed until at least mid-January after two staff members have been accused of providing alcohol for students.
The Pueblo Chieftain reports that two staff members at the Career Building Academy campus in Walsenburg have been arrested after the Huerfano County Sheriff's Office found they were connected to three students who were cited for underage drinking in November.
Academy President Rick Johnson said Tuesday that the Walsenburg campus has been temporarily closed and two instructors and the principal have been fired.
He says he is working with the academy board to hire new instructors with a goal of reopening for the spring semester.
