PUEBLO, Colo. -- A missing infant has been found safe and will remain with his father, police said.
A missing child alert was issued after Earnest Johnson took his son to the doctor last week and didn't return the baby to his mother, according to the Colorado Bureau of Investigations.
"Johnson contacted police yesterday afternoon, after seeing information about himself and his missing child, and fully cooperated with the investigation which is being investigated as a child custody dispute at this time," Pueblo police said on Facebook.
Police said the infant's mother was arrested on a warrant, so the infant will stay in his father's custody.
