DENVER -- Did you feel it? A 3.6 magnitude earthquake struck central Colorado Thursday afternoon, according to the United States Geological Survey.

The temblor hit at 3:17 p.m. MST about 14 miles southeast of the town of Salida, in Chaffee County. It had a depth of about 3 miles.

The earthquake near Salida came 30 minutes after a 4.1 magnitude temblor struck the East Coast. That earthquake was felt all the way from New York to Washington, DC, according to USGS officials.

The earthquake in Colorado was felt by people in the town of Howard -- about five miles northwest from the epicenter -- and in the municipality of Cotopaxi, approximately ten miles southeast of the epicenter.
