DENVER -- As President Donald Trump celebrated his Inauguration in Washington, D.C., hundreds of his supporters gathered in Colorado to mark the occasion.

Supporters at the Donald Trump Colorado Inauguration Ball had dinner and danced to celebrate at the Marriott in the Denver Tech Center.

Tickets were $110, and the money raised will pay for the event and also be given to the Lincoln Club to promote Republican candidates in Colorado.

They might have their work cut out for them since Hillary Clinton carried our state in November.

On election night, Lynn Cotrell and Bonnie Percefull were so excited Trump won they immediately started planning this event.

"It's a celebration and excitement for the future of our country. We feel that we are really going to make America great again," said Cotrell.

Inauguration Day was very emotional for Percefull.

"I had to get a Kleenex a few times. It was an emotional day. We are rescued from a different type of era," said Percefull.
