DURANGO, Colo. (AP) — The owners of a Durango pizza restaurant say they will take down their bathroom signs which show a man lifting up a woman's skirt to prevent their employees from receiving any backlash.
The Durango Herald reported Wednesday that HomeSlice Pizza owners Cory and Lynn Kitch have maintained that the signs are not offensive or promote sexual assault as their critics have said.
They say the signs have been at one of their location since it opened four years ago, but recently came under fire after a photo of the signs went viral on social media.
Lynn Kitch says in an email to the paper that the business and its employees have been harassed and cyber bullied since the photo gained traction.
They say they will auction off a sign and donate the proceeds.
