An ABC News report says former Alaska governor and vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin is under consideration to run Veterans Affairs in the Donald Trump administration.
Palin’s name had previously been floated as being under consideration for the Secretary of Interior position, but this is the first time Palin has been connected to the Secretary of Veterans Affairs position.

Though she was not very visible on the Trump campaign trail, Palin endorsed Trump in January ahead of the Iowa caucuses, saying the now-president-elect will “kick ISIS’ a—“ and help America stop “pussy-footing around.”
“When I heard she was going to endorse me I was so honored, you have no idea,” Trump said of Palin’s endorsement that day. “I was so honored.”
Trump’s transition team has yet to make any official word that Palin is under consideration for any position.
Former Proctor & Gamble CEO Robert McDonald is the current secretary. If Palin indeed is appointed and confirmed, she would be the first VA Secretary who is not a military veteran.
The position will oversee the entire department, which has been plagued by scandals involving patient treatment and construction in recent years.
