DENVER -- Colorado voters will have the chance to decide whether to amend the state constitution and raise taxes for some of the state’s top earners in an effort to provide more money for K-12 education and teacher salaries.
Supporters of other initiatives, including one that would increase the setback for new wells to 2,500 feet from homes and businesses, are waiting for the Secretary of State's office to verify the petition signatures they submitted to get those issues on the ballot.
On this weekend's Politics Unplugged, Tony Kovaleski is joined by Denver Post columnist Krista Kafer and Blair Miller of TheDenverChannel.com for a discussion of who is behind these issues and the pros and cons Colorado voters need to consider when making their decisions.
Politics Unplugged airs Sundays at 4:30 a.m. and 4 p.m. on Denver7 & noon on K3-KCDO.
