DENVER -- Thousands of people from Central America are now in Mexico seeking asylum in the U.S.  The images of their caravan north, as well as their living conditions in Mexico, has touched a nerve with many people.

Carlos Hipolito-Delgado, an associate professor counseling at the University of Colorado Denver, recently worked on a study looking at how repeated exposure to racism predicts internalized racism - or self-hatred - in Latino undergraduate students.

Dr. Hipolito-Delgado talks about his study with Anne Trujillo on Politics Unplugged.

Politics Unplugged airs Sundays at 4:30 a.m. and 4 p.m. on Denver7 and noon on K3-KCDO.
