DENVER -- Dozens of pages on the White House website were removed after President Donald Trump took office, but at least one Colorado group isn’t as concerned as others seem to be.
Josh Winkler of the Colorado Cross-Disability Coalition talked to Anne Trujillo on this week’s Politics Unplugged. He says the website isn’t as important as what the new administration does.
“Every president when they come in redoes the website,” Winkler told Trujillo. “The Trump administration has done a pretty bare bones replacement. The Obama administration had 20 or so specific items where you could go in and disability was one of those. But those were the Obama administration’s disability policies. Our concern is that the Trump administration does what our motto is, ‘nothing about us without us ever,’ that when they do develop disability policy that they talk to the disability community, talk to those affected by those policies and develop real good robust policies and then put those on the website.”
Winkler says he’s taking a wait and see approach to see what happens with the new administration.
