US stock market sinks following Brexit vote

The U.S. stock market dropped dramatically in early trading after Britain votes to leave the European Union, according to multiple reports.

 

 

 

 

Financial markets around the world remain volatile in the wax of Britain's decision to exit the EU on Thursday. 

 

Friday's drop in the Dow Jones Industrial Average is a sharp contrast to the upswing the market has seen so far in 2016. The Dow Jones Industrial Average opened the year around 17,000 points and closed Thursday at 18,011.10.
