Premier League votes to resume small group training

English Premier League Soccer will return to small-group training starting Tuesday after league shareholders unanimously approved the measure.

This is the first step of the "return to training" protocol that will allow squads to train while maintaining social distancing. They will not be contact training yet.

Teams will have strict medical protocols to ensure everyone is safe.

Players, clubs, and the league will now work on protocols for full-contact training.
Over the weekend, the German Bundesliga returned to action with no fans, one of the first sports in the world to do so amid the coronavirus pandemic..
