Some may say that simple random acts of kindness won't solve systemic problems.
Perhaps not, but they can give a moment of brightness to a situation filled with pain.
A group of people were found doing that Monday afternoon in the Sherman Park neighborhood of Milwaukee's north side that has been filled with unrest after two nights of violent protests.

These gifts of hugs and cupcakes came after two nights of unrest in that neighborhood following a Milwaukee Police officer shooting and killing a man they say was an armed suspect.
