After a process that went nearly two months from start to finish, the police department in Troy, Michigan has finally named the police cat. Say hello to Pawfficer Badges.

According to the department, Pawfficer Badges' duties will include community policing, supervising the K9 Unit and cuddles.

Badges won with 40 percent of the vote, just beating out Pawfficer Donut.

The cat came from the Michigan Humane Society and went through an interview process, background check and more.
