CVS Health 12-hour Sinus Relief Nasal Mist has been recalled due to biological contamination, according to the FDA.

The product was found to have microbiological contamination identified as Pseudomonas aeruginosa.

The FDA says repetitive use of a nasal spray containing a pathogen can potentially lead to colonization and subsequent infections. It could be life-threatening in certain patient populations, such as those with cystic fibrosis or immuno-compromised.

Consumers that have the product should stop using it and return it to the place of purchase or discard it.

The FDA says those who have experienced any problems regarding the product should contact their physician or healthcare provider.
