Officials in Salem County, New Jersey have confirmed its buildings are on lockdown due to an active shooter.
KYW-TV reports that SWAT units are en route to to Salem City, and roadways headed into the city have been shut down.
New Jersey State Police conformed the call of shots fired.
State Troopers, federal, county, and local law enforcement are in the area of 172 East Broadway, Salem City, Salem County for the report of shots fired. There is no additional information available at this time. Updates to follow. #alert
