A group of skiers who went out of bounds at Aspen Mountain ended up calling for help.
The Pitkin County Sheriff's Office said the skiers went under a boundary rope at the bottom of Walsh's run, a double black diamond run on the east side of Aspen Mountain.
The group called for help around 1 p.m. on Thursday.
"The skiers were stuck in deep snow and unable to hike back up to the ski area boundary," the Pitkin County Sheriff's Office said.
The Aspen Mountain Ski Patrol deployed four patrollers who found the stranded skiers and skied with them to town.
Deputies said the skiers, all male and ranging in age from 18 to 49 years old, were visiting from New York and Georgia and were not equipped for backcountry travel.
