ESTES PARK, Colo. – Several homes in Estes Park were evacuated Saturday morning following a standoff that has been ongoing for more than 24 hours, according to police.

Larkspur Avenue is closed from Carriage Drive to Whispering Pines Drive as Aspen Police work to get the barricaded suspect out of the home.

Officers initially got a call of a suicidal man at 10:30 a.m. Friday. No other people are inside the home, police said Saturday.

Estes Park is being assisted by a number of regional law enforcement agencies.

If you or someone you know is struggling with thoughts of suicide, help and hope are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week at the Suicide Prevention Lifeline at 1-800-273-TALK (8255) or the Colorado Crisis and Support Line at 1-844-493-TALK (8255).
