GEORGETOWN, Colo. – A 35-year-old man died while skiing at Loveland Ski Area last Friday.

The resort said Monday that the man died around 10:30 a.m. Friday after an “incident” near the bottom of Lift 8.

It said that the man was wearing a helmet at the time, but did not disclose the cause of the man’s death – only saying he was pronounced dead at the scene despite ski patrol being in the area at the time.

The resort has also not named the man or said where he was from.

The Clear Creek County Sheriff’s Department is investigating the death and asks anyone with information to call 303-679-2393.
