DENVER -- Waiting for a flight sometimes means browsing the internet using the airport’s shoddy Wi-Fi or settling in for a people watching binge.
However, if you happen to get stuck at Denver International Airport, you’ll soon have the option of slapping on some skates and shredding some ice.
Yes, you will soon be able to ice skate at DIA. The airport will open the free ice skating rink Friday.
The rink is located in the open-air plaza near the Westin. The rink will operate from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily. It will close for the season Jan. 1.
The rink will include free ice skate rentals, music and carolers.
