DENVER — In an effort to make the Denver Zoo accessible for all, it has announced seven days where admission will be waived for all guests in 2020.

This is part of the zoo's annual Free Days schedule.

Guests are welcome to visit the zoo free of charge on these days in 2020:

  • Friday, Jan. 10
  • Saturday, Jan. 18
  • Sunday, Feb. 2
  • Thursday, April 9
  • Tuesday, Oct. 20 (canceled due to COVID-19 attendance restrictions)
  • Tuesday, Nov. 10 (canceled due to COVID-19 attendance restrictions)
  • Saturday, Nov. 14 (canceled due to COVID-19 attendance restrictions)

Check in October 2020 for information on free tickets for the latter three dates.

Staff recommend that guests arrive early, carpool or use public transportation to get to the zoo.

And what about free days in 2019? There are two left for the year: Monday, Nov. 4 and Friday, Nov. 8.

In addition to Free Days, the zoo also offers discounted tickets to those who receive benefits through SNAP from Aug. 1, 2019 through April 30, 2020. Admission costs $1 per person for up to 10 people during that timeframe. This only applies for regular, daytime admission. You must bring your EBT card to get this discount.
