AURORA, Colo. — A fatal three-vehicle crash in Aurora Tuesday was the result of a driver who crossed over to the opposite lanes of traffic on Peoria Street, police said.
It happened just before 1 p.m. on North Peoria Street and East 33rd Avenue. One person was killed, and two others were injured.
A woman driving a silver Chevrolet Malibu was traveling north on Peoria Street and then, for an unknown reason, crossed over into the southbound lanes, striking two other vehicles, according to police.
The woman in the Chevrolet died as a result of her injuries. The Adams County Coroner's Office will release the victim's identity when positively identified and after next of kin notification.
The drivers of the other two vehicles in the crash had complaints of minor injuries, police said.
