DENVER — Denver International Airport has just been named the top airport in the United States and one of the best in the world.
The honor comes from Skytrax, which hands out its "World Best Airport" awards every year.
The organization ranked Denver 29th in the world, which is the highest ranking of any airport in the U.S. Denver came in second among North American airports, landing behind Vancouver, British Columbia.
Denver was ranked 28th in the world last year.
Among U.S. airports, Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International came in second, followed by Houston Hobby International, Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International and San Francisco International Airport.
The title of best airport in the world went to Singapore Changi for the sixth year in a row.
The Skytrax rankings are determined by a survey of international travelers.
