World Art Drop Day: Find free works of art scattered around Denver Tuesday

Posted

DENVER – How about an art-themed scavenger hunt?

Head out onto the streets of Denver on Tuesday and you might just go home with a free work of art.

Denver will be participating in the annual World Art Drop Day, which occurs on the first Tuesday of September every year. More than 130 artists plan to leave their art around the city this year.

For its part, the city will be hiding miniature versions of the big blue bear that keeps watch over the Colorado Convention Center.

The city and artists will be dropping hints about where to find art using the hashtag #ArtDropDenver on social media such as Twitter, Facebook and Instagram.
