Working Wednesday: UPS looking to hire thousands of seasonal workers to handle, deliver packages

Posted

DENVER – UPS is in the midst of its seasonal hiring season and is looking to hire part-time employees to work during the holidays. The company says some of the jobs could turn into full-time careers.

UPS is hiring 95,000 seasonal employees nationwide, half of which will be “Santa’s Helpers” who will help drivers deliver packages throughout the holiday season.

The company said in September that at least 1,600 jobs need to be filled in the Denver area, and hiring continues.

UPS says 37 percent of hires made for the holiday season end up with permanent jobs after the season ends. UPS hired approximately the same number of workers during last year’s holiday season.

In Denver, the company is hiring at its following facilities:

  • Denver/Commerce City (5020 Ivy Street)
  • Denver Gateway (26400 E 75th Avenue)
  • Englewood (13101 James E Casey Avenue)

More information on the particular jobs and an online application can be found here.
