WOODLAND PARK, Colo. — Authorities are asking for the public's helping finding a missing 29-year-old Woodland Park mother who hasn't been seen since Nov. 22.
Kelsey Berreth was last seen with her 1-year-old daughter at a Safeway grocery store that day, Woodland Park Police Chief Miles De Young said at a news conference on Monday.
Her cell phone then gave a location near Gooding, Idaho, nearly 800 miles away, on Nov. 25 and a text message from Berreth's phone on the same day said she wouldn't be at work the following week, De Young said.
Berreth's fiance also hasn't heard from her since the 25th and hasn't seen her since the 22nd when they exchanged their daughter, according to De Young.
Police said detectives searched Berreth's home and both of her vehicles and have been unable to find any sign of her. Berreth’s brother told Good Morning America that she did not seem to have packed to go anywhere, since her makeup and suitcases were untouched at her home.
At Monday's news conference, Kelsey's mother, Cheryl Berreth, pleaded for information on her daughter's whereabouts.
"This is completely out of character," Berreth said. "She doesn't run off and someone knows where she's at."
Police have not identified a suspect in Kelsey Berreth's disappearance and De Young said there was no indication the case was anything other than a missing person case as of Monday.
Berreth was last seen in a white shirt, gray sweater, blue pants, brown purse and white shoes.
She is described as a white female standing 5 feet, three inches tall and weighing 110 pounds. She has brown hair and green eyes.
