ROCKY MOUNTAIN NATIONAL PARK, Colo. — A woman was seriously injured Sunday after falling from near the top of Bridal Veil Falls in Rocky Mountain National Park.
On Sunday afternoon, park rangers at Rocky Mountain National Park responded to a report of a person who fell near Bridal Veil Falls.
When park rangers arrived, they discovered that a 47-year-old woman from Tallahassee, Florida had tumbled 25 to 30 feet from near the top of the waterfall to the pool below, according to the park. She was seriously injured from the fall.
Rocky Mountain National Park Search and Rescue team began a technical rescue.
By 8:30 p.m., the woman was flown by Lifeguard Two Air Ambulance to Medical Center of the Rockies, according to the park.
No other information was available as of Tuesday morning.
The hike to Bridal Veil Falls is a heavily trafficked trail in the park.
