BRIGHTON, Colo. – A woman suffering from a head wound screaming out in pain shook up residents at a Brighton apartment complex, and police say answers to what led up to her injuries are fleeting.

The 50-year-old woman was found Monday night in the parking lot of her apartment building located at 4242 East Bromley Lane in Brighton.

Police were initially called after neighbors reported hearing a woman screaming. When they arrived, the victim was lying between two vehicles with obvious trauma to her head.

Paramedics transported the woman, whose identity has not been released, to an area hospital for treatment.

Police ask that anyone with information about the incident contact Detective Rudy Underwood at (720) 685-7336.
