LARIMER COUNTY, Colo. — A woman in Fort Collins was injured after a 26-year-old with several outstanding felony warrants drove a pickup truck into her home while fleeing from authorities.

Around 10 p.m. on Tuesday, deputies and investigators with the Larimer County Sheriff’s Office were able to contact a woman with several outstanding felony warrants. She was found in the 3800 block of Richmond Drive in Fort Collins, the sheriff’s office said.

The woman, Brooke Oakley, 26, fled from the authorities in a pickup truck. She drove to the dead end of Richmond Drive, but continued through a residential fence and struck a home in the 1100 block of Wabash Street.

The vehicle crashed into the home, injuring a woman inside, the sheriff’s office said.

Both the resident and Oakley were transported to a local hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening. Nobody else was injured.

Oakley has a warrant for arson from October 2017 in Fort Collins and she failed to appear at her last hearing, which was scheduled for Aug. 20. There were no other convictions in her court record.

Conrad Woodall, a neighbor, said he was heading back inside from walking his dog when he heard the crash. It was around 9:50 p.m., he said.

When he went to see what had happened, he saw the truck "well into the house," he said. The woman was the only person who lived there, to his knowledge.

“(The pickup) must have been going terribly fast in order to make it all the way into that house," he said.
