DENVER, Colo. -- Longmont architecture firm F9 Productions has drawn up its own ideas for Amazon’s second North American headquarters: A 125-story building in downtown Denver.

The building -- just a concept at this point, as Amazon hasn't even decided where it will build the so-called HQ2 -- would be the tallest in the United States.

The conceptual drawings call for the building and four others to be built at the corner of Broadway and 19th and could cost 4 to 5 billion dollars.

The top floor would be the tallest public observatory in the U.S., and the plans also create a new central park and amphitheater in the heart of downtown.

The innovative design twists the structure of the building for best views of the Rockies and use of daylight, and the building would be covered in solar glass to fuel free charging stations in parking spaces below.

Amazon won’t decide on the location for HQ2 until next year.
