WESTMINSTER, Colo -- A Westminster woman and a longtime University of Colorado employee is being called a danger to the community after her arrest for possessing and distributing a large amount of child pornography.
Sharee Ewudzi-Acquah, 47, appeared in federal court Monday where a judge denied her bond. FBI agents arrested her on Oct. 20.
Federal prosecutors allege Ewudzi-Acquah distributed large volumes of child pornography using an unnamed mobile app. Investigators found child porn images on three phones in her possession, a federal news release said.
FBI investigators also said she participated in very graphic sex chats and at one time claimed to have molested a relative.
According to the release, she traded child pornography and chatted about child pornography while at work at CU. She worked as an accountant for the school, according to online records.
Forensic analysis revealed Ewudzi-Acquah was using cloud storage, foreign emails, and foreign cloud storage – in both New Zealand and in Russia. The investigation began in Sep. 2015 and went through March of this year.
She is facing up to 20 years in federal prison.
