Westminster police search for Jarred Strenge in connection with homicide

WESTMINSTER, Colo.- Police were searching for a man wanted in the death of a woman.

She was found shot around 11 p.m. Saturday when Westminster Police responded to an apartment in the 4200 block of 70th Place. 

"A female subject between 30-35 years old deceased from a gunshot wound," Investigator Cheri Spottke said in a release. 

No one else was found in the home when officers responded Saturday night, according to Spottke.

The victim's name will be released by the Adams County Coroner's Office.

Police were looking for 31-year-old Jarred Michael Strenge in connection with the homicide.

Strenge is described as 5'11", 215 pounds with brown hair and hazel eyes.

He has several warrants for his arrest and should be considered dangerous, police cautioned in a news release.
