GLENWOOD SPRINGS, Colo. (AP) — Authorities say a man hunting in northwest Colorado died following an all-terrain vehicle crash.
The Post Independent reports the Garfield County Coroner's Office says 60-year-old Steven Gooderham of Westminster died last week after crashing into a tree in the Flat Tops area of the White River National Forest.
Investigators say a hunter found Gooderham dead and alerted authorities Saturday. Investigators determined that Gooderham was ejected from his ATV after crashing in a wooded area.
Gooderham was hunting and camping alone.
The coroner's office says it is investigating the cause of death as blunt force injuries and the manner of death as an accident.
