DENVER — Denver police say a pedestrian struck by a car Friday morning near W. Colfax Avenue and Speer Boulevard has died.
The crash occurred shortly after 6 a.m. One person was transported to a hospital with serious injuries, police said. At 10 a.m., police announced the person had died.
The driver remained at the scene, police said.
The westbound lanes of Colfax closed from Welton Street to Speer Boulevard and reopened around 10 a.m.
No other details were available as of 6:50 a.m.
Eastbound lanes of Colfax stayed open through the investigation.
