The break was reported around 5 p.m. Wednesday.
The break, and subsequent hole, was in the southbound lanes of Colorado Boulevard between E. Kentucky Avenue and E. Mississippi Avenue. At 5:50 a.m. Thursday, Denver Water said repairs were made to the 12-inch water pipe and water had been restored by 4:30 a.m. However, road work will continue through the morning.
All lanes should reopen in time for afternoon rush hour, Denver Water said.
