DENVER – Drivers who use South Sheridan Boulevard for their commute will want to take a different route Tuesday morning, as a water main break is expected to leave the road closed through the morning rush hour.
A main 12 inches in diameter broke around 5:30 p.m., closing the road between West Arizona Avenue and West Mississippi Avenue.
Denver Water says 10 buildings on Sheridan will be waterless until the pipe is fixed. Afterward, crews will have to fix “extensive damage” to the road.
The closure is expected to last at least through Tuesday morning. Denver Water said it would have further updates Tuesday morning.
