Strong and gusty winds has the National Weather Service issuing a hazardous weather outlook statement for Tuesday.
"Strong and gusty winds will continue in and near the Front Range foothills today," the National Weather Service. "Peak gusts in wind prone areas are expected to range between 50 and 75 miles per hour this morning.
Denver7 meteorologist Cory Reppenhagen on Highway 93 at 5 a.m. found sustained wind gusts of 20 to 25 mph and gusts of 40 to 45 mph.
The National Weather Service is warning that road conditions "may change drastically over short distances with sudden icy spots" due to snow and ice being blown onto highways and roads.
