Denver street sweeping will affect parking

If you live, work or visit Denver, you'll need to check the signs where you park.

Residential street sweeping season started April 1 and if you park on a street, during its street sweeping window, you can get a ticket.

"Denver’s street sweeping program takes dirt and debris off the streets so it stays out of our air and water," Denver Public Works said. "We ask people to move their cars so we can sweep all the way to the curb line and provide the best service possible."

Red and white signs posted on each block list the street sweeping day and time for that area.

"Even if it appears a sweeper has cleaned the street, it’s still important to not park during the restricted times posted, as sweepers may need to return to the area to make another pass," Denver Public Works said.

Residents can sign up for street sweeping reminders through Pocketgov, the City’s mobile web application. After creating a user profile, residents can receive both email and text notifications.
