A Colorado man wanted on federal warrants was shot and killed in a confrontation with authorities in Wyoming after his father's funeral.
Jasen Scott Ramirez, 44, was indicted last month on charges of illegal drug possession, possession of a firearm while drug trafficking and being a felon in possession of a firearm.
Ramirez was shot last Thursday while United State Marshals were serving the arrest warrant in Douglas, according to the Converse County Sheriff’s Office. Douglas is about 230 miles north of Denver.
Ramirez' Family and friends said the shooting occurred following the funeral of Ramirez' father, Joe Ramirez, the Douglas Budgetreported.
Ramirez was taken to the Converse County Memorial Hospital, but he did not survive.
