Victim shot during late night burglary in Denver

DENVER – Police in Denver are looking for a man who shot a homeowner during a home-invasion burglary early Thursday morning.

Police say the man broke into a Cheesman Park home in the 1100 block of Columbine Street around 1 a.m. while the victim was home.

At some point, shots were fired and the victim was hit. Paramedics transported the victim to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Police have yet to release a detailed description of the suspect.
