Victim in Friday's deadly shooting identified

The man killed in a shooting in west Denver late Friday night has been identified as 30-year-old Jairo Perez.

Perez was shot in the area of West 2nd Avenue and Osceola Street at around 11:47 p.m. Friday, an official with the Denver Police Department said. 

Perez was pronounced dead at the scene. Police did not provide a photo of the victim.

Daniel Gutierrez, 30, is being held for investigation of first-degree murder and second-degree aggravated assault, police said.
