VAIL, Colo. -- You can't always trust the cheap lift tickets you find on Craigslist or Facebook.
Vail Police say they've seen 39 cases of fraudulent lift tickets this year. That's nine times as many cases as last year.
Vail Police caution against purchasing lift tickets from any site other than the resort.
As a reminder, using another person’s ski pass can have criminal consequences and potentially bar the unauthorized user from skiing the entire season.
